See two beautiful bathrooms we designed for two sisters in Sunningdale
With a brief for marble tiles, a luxury feel and plenty of storage
These two bathrooms have been beautifully designed to perfectly suit the two sisters who will enjoy using them. Both still living in the family home in Sunningdale, with one sister studying A levels and another at university, the girls original bathrooms were looking dated and ready for a modern makeover, which they were both keen to be involved with.

The design process
After initially visiting the showroom to pick-up ideas, impressed with the large selection of tiles and products on offer, the family were keen to go one step further and use our full 3D Design & Planning Service, collaborating with our expert bathroom designers to ensure their renovated bathrooms would be planned to perfection to deliver everything the girls wanted.
Working with Sheila, first was understanding what they particularly wanted to see in the new bathrooms. Key to their brief was for the two bathrooms to have a matching feel and a large walk-in shower. Style-wise they wanted the rooms to be fresh, light and luxurious, and feature plenty of storage. As they began selecting tiles and furniture Sheila began the process of space planning and creating the best layouts for the bathrooms. This was then brought to life in 3D drawings showing everything in place. Once happy with the designs it was all systems go to get everything ordered, delivered and the fitting underway.

Tiles
The girls loved the idea of white marble tiles to add a touch of luxury and keep the bathrooms modern and light. Both bathrooms feature the cool and contemporary Porcelanosa Artic marble effect tiles. Their large format and gloss shine really enhances the feeling of space, letting the natural light bounce off the walls whist also creating that luxurious feel the girls wanted.
Walk-in shower
The original bathrooms featured baths with a shower attachment and the sisters were super keen to replace this element with large walk-in showers. Sheila advised them on the best configurations and panel options to maximise the size of the showering area, and also designed in a tiled shelf where they could keep all of their washing essentials neat and tidy.
The walk-in showers feature our Matki One Wet Room Panels with Wall Brace, Hansgrohe Raindance Select S Overhead Shower with Shower Arm and the Axor Starck 1Jet Baton Hand Shower for extra functionality.
Furniture
All-important storage comes in the form of a wall-hung vanity unit with two generous pull out-drawers. And this is matched with an additional wall-hung storage unit with plenty of shelving inside to keep things tidy and out-of-view. Both are from the Gamadecor Corners collection with the Nogal Moon colour featuring in Emily’s design and the lighter Nogal Frost in Olivia’s. A Porcelanosa gel coated basin completes the vanity units, along with our Hansgrohe Vivenis Single Lever Basin Mixer.

Finishing touches
Both rooms feature our popular space saving Porcelanosa Acro Compact rimless wall-hung WC with a Smartline flush plate, and towels are kept warm thanks to the modern styling of our JIS Europe Goodwood Central Heating Towel Rail from the Sussex Range.
The finishing touch is illuminated mirrors, with Emily’s bathroom featuring the circular lines of our HiB Bathrooms Theme mirror in an impressive 100cm diameter size, and Olivia opted for the rectangular design of HiB’s Ambience 120cm mirror.

Both rooms were designed and constructed to conceal all plumbing and use wall-hung fixtures throughout to maintain a seamless flow and open floor space. The boxed-in plumbing also creates a handy shelf area running along the basin wall.
Both girls are thrilled with the end-results. They have the grown-up and luxurious bathrooms they wanted.
