We help modernise a bathroom in Ripley with our tile & bathroom collections
Bathing, showering and storage were key to the brief
Our clients visited the showroom keen to start planning a renovation of the tired bathroom in their Ripley home. Their aspirations were to turn it into a more modern and inviting space that offered both bathing and showering, and some storage to help keep the room clutter free.
Our Porcelanosa Butan Bone tiles were selected for the floors and walls. The tiles effortlessly embody a refined concrete-effect, delivering a modern meets industrial aesthetic.
Walls feature the larger format 45x120cm tiles. Their generous dimensions create a sleek and continuous look, accentuating the feeling of space and light in the room.
And on the floor the concrete-look is continued with the 59.6×59.6cm tile format.
Trying to fit both a bath and separate shower into the bathroom would have made the room far too crowded, but keen to maximise the best use of space, and increase the showering area, they opted for one of our showerbath options.
Our Carron Quantum LH 1500 Carronite Showerbath has been innovatively designed into the recess, allowing for a larger shower area, but without impacting on floor space inside the bathroom. Our Merlyn Showering MB-Fusion 6mm Hinged Radius Bath Screen provides a stylish, minimalistic and smooth outward opening glass panel.
A refreshing shower experience comes from our JTP Esprite Overhead Shower with generous 200 x 200mm square dimensions, the Hix Square Shower Arm is positioned inside the recess and the bath is completed with the matching Hix Exofil square bath filler.
Storage requirements were met with the selection of a large double draw vanity unit. Our Zaneti Kolour Wall Hung Unit, chosen in Matt White, offers a generous 800mm width allowing for some additional surface space adjacent to the basin, and two wide drawers offer plenty of room for all the bathroom essentials. The JTP Form Single Lever Basin Mixer completes the unit.
Extra ambience is created with the inclusion of our HiB Ambience Mirror. The mirror includes the latest colour temperature changing technology, allowing you to change the light from cool white to warm white, and every shade in-between, at the touch of a button. In addition to having a heated pad to remove condensation.
Other finishing touches include our Q4 Maison Banos Icon WC, and JIS Hickstead Central Heating Towel Rail.
The finished bathroom has certainly met our clients expectations.
“We wanted it to feel light and modern, and the tiles in particular have really delivered on that. And we have definitely been able to make the best use of the space so we have all the key elements we wanted, but the room still feels spacious and airy. We are so pleased with our new bathroom, the Surrey Tiles & Bathrooms team were so helpful from start to finish, and the team at Hallett & Hallett did such a brilliant installation job.”
Expert fitting of the bathroom was completed by Surrey based plumbers Hallett & Hallett.
