We are incredibly proud to announce that Surrey Tiles & Bathrooms has been named Small Retailer of the Year at the Tile Association Awards 2026, held in Birmingham.
The Tile Association Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and achievement across the UK tiling industry, recognising businesses that are leading the way in design, customer experience and industry best practice. To be recognised amongst so many outstanding retailers is a tremendous honour for our team.
What makes this award particularly special is that it aligns with this year’s awards theme, “Tiling the Future.” Our winning entry focused on the transformation of our tile gallery and how we have embraced technology to create a more engaging, informative and inspiring experience for our customers.
Reimagining our tile gallery
Over the past year, we have undertaken a significant redevelopment of our tile gallery, completely rethinking how customers discover and interact with the products on display.
Rather than simply browsing tile samples, visitors can now enjoy a more immersive and interactive experience. Under the concept of “Explore, Scan, Discover More”, QR code technology has been integrated throughout the gallery, allowing customers to instantly access detailed product information, available sizes, finishes, pricing and design inspiration directly from their mobile devices.
The system also introduces customers to complementary products and design ideas, helping them visualise how different tiles can work together within their own homes. The result is a showroom experience that combines the benefits of in-person browsing with the convenience and accessibility of digital information.
Our goal was simple: to make choosing tiles easier, more enjoyable and more inspiring for every visitor who walks through our doors.
Creating a design destination
At Surrey Tiles & Bathrooms, we have always believed that a showroom should be more than just a place to purchase products.
Our Woking showroom has been carefully designed as a destination where homeowners, interior designers, architects and trade professionals can explore the latest trends in tile and bathroom design, gather ideas and receive expert advice from our knowledgeable team.
The redevelopment of our tile gallery was part of our ongoing commitment to investing in the customer experience and ensuring our showroom continues to offer something truly unique within the industry.
